What happened to Trinity Loren? 2603:8001:CD40:3E06:9506:4ABF:7FE4:A62D (talk) 17:58, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Trinity Loren Wikipedia article was deleted in 2017 for lack of coverage by reliable sources. The list entry was removed shortly afterward. • Gene93k (talk) 21:00, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actors with Wikipedia articles in other languages

[edit]

I see one editor, Gene93k has removed entries for actors who have Wikipedia articles in other languages (Removal #1 Removal #2). Is there an existing consensus against inclusion of actors with Wikipedia articles in other languages? Is there a policy against such an inclusion?
In the case of Removal #2, the actor has articles in 16 different languages, which, suggests some level of notability, given that there are 101 Wikipedias with policies on notability (with at least one lanaguage, the language that was linked, having such a policy).
While it makes sense to require a standard of notability for inclusion in the list, I see no reason to limit notability to the existence of an article on the English Wikipedia. I think we can rely on the notability policy of Wikipedias in other languages, and not just the English Wikipedia. The Mountain of Eden (talk) 20:25, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • @The Mountain of Eden: The page is a list of notable (satisfying Wikipedia:Notability (people)) pornographic performers. Since the most recent dispute of BLP concerns, that notability for inclusion requires support for an existing properly-sourced en.Wikipedia article. Other editions of Wikipedia have their own standards for inclusion and sufficient sourcing. However, articles that exist on other language Wikipedia editions get deleted from en.Wikipedia as not notable all the time. • Gene93k (talk) 09:04, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • As for the removals in question: 1. es:Kaylynn - won an award but the sources are self-published and unacceptable. 2. fr:Brandy Talore - the sources are just as bad, and the es.Wikipedia and de.Wikipedia pages rely on promotional sources, also unacceptable. English Wikipedia has cracked down over the past 15 years on stuff that is still tolerated on other editions. Presence over there does not make it notable for inclusion here. • Gene93k (talk) 09:04, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
