Q: Why are early series called seasons? In British English we have TV series.
A: Most sites, such as BBC's Classic Episode Guide and A Brief History, as well as most Doctor Who reference books, use the term "season" for the classic "series". There's a longer discussion here. This has links to the previous discussions.

@OlifanofmrTennant, @Pokelego999, @TheDoctorWho, @Alex 21, apologies for the ping, but does anyone know an alternative source for the appreciation index from 2022-present- as DWN's reliability seems to be the only thing standing between this list and being an FL. Or any alternative ideas to deal with this-maybe I should hide the AI when transcluding? DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 16:14, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping. There's definitely been a mess introduced with all of these unnecessary noinclude tags, given the apparent removal of valid information in this article and the now-faulty column widths between tables for 2022–present (these widths no longer add to 100%). Doctor Who News is a valid inclusion unless/until there is an alternate source provided. -- Alex_21TALK22:07, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They look fine on all the screens I have seen it on- so I have no idea if there is any issues with the look of the tables. I'm borderline on it, so I didn't pushback too much on it's removal from featured content. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 07:15, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
THey look fine, yes, but the widths of all visible columns adds to 94% in a 100%-wide table, an incorrect setup of HTML and CSS. Something looking fine does not mean that it is. -- Alex_21TALK20:14, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe DWM has something? But I don't know if they record Audience Appreciation. If this information cannot be located or sourced, I'd just keep the column blank or remove it. While DWN's info is likely accurate, for all we know the info could be faulty and we'd never know because they lack a source. DWN is not reliable unless they have a source backing them up, in which case we should use their source. Magneton Considerer:Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 04:43, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
